The eighth annual Spark Tank Awards will be held in-person at FPU’s Amphitheater on June 17 at 10am. This FREE event will feature the four newest social enterprises in the constellation of businesses the CCT has helped to train and launch over the last eight years of the pitch fest. The businesses this year have all successfully completed the CCT Social Enterprise Academy as well. They include a tree trimming company that employs people experiencing homelessness, a culinary business for formerly trafficked women, a café for an inner-city church, and a thrift store employing women recovering from addiction. Each of these businesses are designed to accomplish mission while generating revenue. They join the some 53 other social enterprises the CCT’s Spark Tank has helped to catalyze and train over the last eight years, with a success rate over double the national average.
