The CCT’s Juan Garza helped to coordinate nearly 100 volunteers to pick up trash and debris in the southeastern sector of Fresno this week as part of the City’s Beautify Fresno initiative. A sea of animated pink T-shirts spread out on every street surrounding Fresno Pacific University, both commercial and residential, armed with grabbers and trash bags, as well as songs and laughs and great attitudes on a bright and cool Saturday morning. Their efforts, plus the efforts of more than 1,300 other volunteers at 17 other sites across the city, picked up more than 12,000 pounds of trash and debris.
